More 'Cuda admirers today. A girl at a gas station slowed down as she was driving away to offer to trade her pickup truck for the car. Lots of "thumbs up" from passing drivers. Much better driving day. Outside temp was about 87 which made the temp inside the car a little under 100. Great! The car is running great. Oil is at the same level as when we left home and still nice and clean. Hard to keep engine running at the higher altitude in Albuquerque--we need three feet: one for the gas, one for the brake, another for the clutch. We've found that shouting helps. Having a blast! But now the pictures . . .

Matt ready to go in the morning at Oklahoma City

The old-time wire spring seat cushions save our backsides every day. Another indispensable piece of travelling equipment.

You thought I'd forget the gas pictures?

Sign along the road claims this is the largest cross in the western hemisphere. Probably 15 - 20 stories tall

Closer picture of the big cross at Groome, TX. Since the land is so flat, you can see this for about 20 miles.

Typical small grain elevator by the side of the road

Crossing into New Mexico

NM scenery is spectacular

NM mini-mountains

Clouds were beautiful. More clouds pics below.

Matt driving . . . Look Ma, no hands!

Miles and miles of this stuff. Mesquite? Sagebrush?

Speed limit is 75 mph in NM

More NM scenery. A hill somewhat closer.

New Mexico . . . a train runs through it.

NM highway. This is why the speed limit is 75.

More clouds, as promised

Mountain range now visible as we approach Albuquerque.

Did we mention the clouds?

Through the pass into Albuquerque.

Our home away from home in Albuquerque.

Sue Toole recommended Garduņo's Restaurant, so that's where we went.

Our food has arrived.

Here we are, the "Road Warriors." (A man at the next table offered to take our picture. He was there for the first time, too--from New York state.)
