We had two people who wanted to buy the car today. One at a gas station,
the other a trucker who kept catching up to us honking and waving and
gesturing, rubbing his fingers together in the air, meaning cash.
Finally as he pulled off at an exit, he pulled out his money clip and
waved it at us while pointing at the car. This is one hot car---in every
sense you can imagine.
Starting off from hotel in Nashville
Loretta Lynn's Kitchen & Gift Shop. We must be in Tennessee.
Satellite says we have 562 miles to go. Piece of cake!
Tennessee--a river runs through it.
As the day gets hotter, the cooler is our most important piece of
equipment.
Didn't have time to stop at the Buck & Bass Sports Centre. I think
they sell croissants.
The truck stop to end all truck stops . . . that is if there is
any justice. Hard to believe.
Pumping gas is our main exercise.
Matt's getting his exercise, too.
St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in Memphis
As we drove very slowly through the smoke across the road ahead.
I swear I saw Elvis!
This is one loud car. Note the earplugs! (Click on any picture

The sign going past too fast for me to take the picture said,
"Welcome to Oklahoma."
More gas.
A lake in Oklahoma
Draining water bottle #4 for the day. Inside car temperature
about 120 degrees plus . . . in the shade. Seat belt buckles were too
hot to touch while we are wearing them! This is not a joke.
Matt's picture of a local Oklahoma bug that's now coming along
for the ride.
Again with the gas. But we're actually getting about 13 - 14 mpg!
