Over the last few days, Windows users have been hit with yet another email worm. Like many others, this one, the so-called “MyDoom” worm, entices the user to click on a file sent as an email attachment. This mode of attack has been around for a while, though this most recent incarnation is particularly clever; it masquerades as an email system error.

Product Activation & Open Source

I’m writing this page using Mozilla’s Composer application. I’d normally use Macromedia’s Dreamweaver MX for this task. Dreamweaver is definitely a more powerful and convenient tool; Composer is downright primitive by comparison. But I’ll suffer the inconvenience of more clumsy tools rather than upgrade to Macromedia’s latest Studio MX 2004 suite.

Why? Product activation.
